Representatives from Kitengela Municipality joined residents, community leaders, and delegates from across Kajiado County at the Ildamat Stadium in Kajiado Central for Governor H.E. Joseph Ole Lenku’s 10-Year Scorecard Presentation.

The landmark forum served as an account of the county administration’s decade-long stewardship, celebrating key milestones in urban planning, infrastructure, market access, healthcare, and public service delivery across Kajiado.

The official scorecard highlights critical investments and structural progress made within Kitengela Municipality as part of the county’s broader urban transformation agenda:

• Urban Infrastructure & Connectivity: Paving and asphalt upgrading of key municipal roads, construction of storm-water drainage networks, and installation of solar street lighting to enhance public safety and support a 24-hour economy.

• Modernized Market Facilities: Construction and continuous improvement of municipal retail space and trade centers to accommodate local traders, boost revenue generation, and improve sanitation.

• Sustainable Water & Sanitation: Expansion of water distribution lines, modern reticulation networks, and ongoing sanitation initiatives designed to meet the growing demand in fast-expanding urban zones.

• Public Health & Welfare: Strengthening primary healthcare delivery through upgraded local municipal clinics, maternal health services, and improved emergency dispatch infrastructure serving Kitengela residents.

• Devolution & Institutional Growth: Operationalization of the Kitengela Municipality Board and urban management structures, facilitating localized decision-making, spatial planning, and structured development control.
